Thank you for considering the job opportunities at Fareham Borough Council. Click through to find out more about how we look after our employees.
Our main responsibility at the Council is to provide best value for our customers and our employees are vital in helping us achieve this goal.
Over the past few years we have looked at all of our systems and practices through the eyes of our customers. By listening to them and understanding their needs we have completely transformed the way we work, resulting in better customer service, as well as creating much more job satisfaction for our employees.
It matters to me that we deliver our services to customers at the best possible price and to a high standard, whilst also meeting our seven corporate priorities (2 MB). By meeting these priorities it means that we can continue to ensure that Fareham is a 'prosperous, safe and attractive place to live and work'.
Fareham has a lot to offer its residents, as you will see from our news page. There is always plenty going on; whether we're building much needed new housing or providing a range of leisure activities for all. Everything we do is for the benefit of our customers.
Employees are encouraged to resolve problems and to learn from their mistakes. We are always seeking to improve, enabling employees to grow and develop, whilst putting the needs of our customers at the heart of the organisation.
We also work in partnership with our elected members and other organisations to provide the best service that we can. We take pride in receiving feedback from others who say that we are a 'friendly and professional organisation'.
I already have a strong, dedicated team of employees working with me, who strive to meet the needs of our customers as well as they possibly can. If you think the same way, and are planning to join us, then I look forward to working with you.
