Household waste recycling centres 'HWRC'

There are several household waste recycling centres (HWRC) across Hampshire, run by Hampshire County Council. They accept garden waste, bulky items and excess household waste. Hazardous household waste, including batteries, should be taken to an HWRC for safe disposal.

Before visiting the HWRC you must book a slot via the Hampshire website External Hyperlink (opens in new window). Charges apply for some types of material that exceed the per household allowance. These charges are detailed on the Hampshire Councy Council website External Hyperlink (opens in new window).

Trade waste is now accepted at HWRCs External Hyperlink (opens in new window) for a charge. Waste from businesses cannot be put in domestic waste or recycling bins.
