We are looking at possible options for the future regeneration of the Locks Heath district centre. This is being driven by three main issues:
In October and November 2012 we consulted on a number of options. They included a new food store on two possible sites on land to the north of the Co-op store and north of the car park. There were three possible locations for a swimming pool and leisure centre as well as a swimming pool and leisure centre in a building which would also house the library and other community facilities. A further option was a new food store with parking underneath to reduce the loss of open space. We are analysing results of the public consultation and will be further considering options in the spring of 2013.
