We must protect and preserve the open space left in Fareham, Titchfield, Stubbingtom and Warsash. We must protect the strategic gaps between settlements and maintain the character of our villages, avoiding urban sprawl. I am pleased that there is an emphasis on building on brown field sites. This is so important. Many younger people and older people would benefit from living in regenerated areas, especially Fareham. It will bring life back to the the town centre which has been slowly dying and which has become an area people want to avoid. This is very sad as there are some very attractive parts of Fareham and it could be made even more attractive as a place to live and work and socialise. The number of houses planned for Warsash is too large and will have a serious impact on the area. It will bring road chaos (to already congested roads) as well as pressure on services and anti-social behaviour and crime. Warsash will be ruined and it will have a negative impact on surrounding areas. In Titchfield there is pressure to build on green belt land south of Bellfield which will have an adverse affect on the character of the village and put pressure on the roads which already cannot cope. Posbrook and Triangle Lane are rat runs which have a very detrimental affect to anyone living along the roads. It gets worse every day.
