Fareham Borough Council has used legal agreements pursuant to Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (known as planning obligations) for many years in order to secure contributions towards infrastructure such as open space and environmental improvements.
The Planning Obligations supplementary planning document (SPD) provides guidance which supports Fareham's Local Plan by setting out this Council's approach to the use of planning obligations to secure satisfactory development and essential infrastructure.
The Schedule of Costs document should be read alongside the SPD and provides up to date costs for where land and assets are to be transferred to the Council for management and maintenance. Officers will use it as the basis for calculating the expected contribution.
The Schedule of Costs will be reviewed annually and updated when necessary.
The SPD, Adoption Statement (108 KB) and Post Consultation Statement (632 KB) can be viewed in PDF or hard copy at the Civic Offices and libraries within the Borough.
