As part of the preparation of a Local Plan, the Council has to produce a range of technical evidence documents. These are required by national policy and/ or legislation.
Interim Sustainability Appraisal (38 MB) (including an assessment of each potential development site submitted to the Council)
Strategic Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA) (4 MB). In addition, you may like to use the SHELAA Interactive Map which shows each site that has been promoted to the Council for development and how the Planning Officers have assessed the site's suitability. Their inclusion in the SHELAA does not mean that they are proposed allocations. It is an evidence document that we have to produce.
