Help us to Conserve the Character of Portchester (Castle Street) Conservation Area
Fareham Borough Council has completed a draft updated Character Appraisal and Management Strategy for Portchester (Castle Street) Conservation Area.
The Character Appraisal identifies the features that we think contribute to the architectural and historic interest of the conservation area and the Management Strategy sets out how the Council aims to conserve its character and appearance. We would like your comments on the draft document in a consultation running for 4 weeks.

A display will be sited from 21st October until the 2nd November in the foyer of Portchester Library- Opening Times:
Mon 8:00am-7:00pm
Tue Fri 8:00am-6:30pm
Sat 9:30am-1:00pm
and from the 4th November until the 18th November at Portchester Community Centre - Opening Times:
Mon 9am-11pm,
Tue 9am–10pm,
Wed/ Thu 9am–9pm,
Fri 9am-4.30pm,
Sat 9am–3pm,
Sun 9am-5pm.
A copy of the document and a paper comment sheet can be picked up from the display and an Officer will be there to help with any enquiries at the following times:
Mornings (10:00-12:00), 21st Oct, 4th, 14th Nov
Afternoons (14:00-16:00), 24th Oct, 1st, 12th Nov
Evenings (17:00-19:00), 30th Oct, 6th Nov
Paper comment sheets should be returned to; The Conservation Officer, Fareham Borough Council, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7AZ.
The consultation period begins on Monday 21st October and the closing date for comments is Monday 18th November.
