Press Release

20 November 2024

Help us talk to you and hear your views

Fareham Borough Council has today launched a public consultation asking residents for their views on its approach to communication and engagement.

Communication and engagement play a vital role in enabling the Council to work with residents and local businesses in order to bring about and promote informed and positive changes across the Borough.

There has been a significant step-change in the way people choose to receive information in recent years, so the Council wants to understand how best to communicate with both businesses and residents of all ages.

The Council’s Communications and Engagement Strategy sets out its proposed approach to communicating and engaging with residents. It contains key objectives and plans for continuous improvement to ensure the Council remains responsive, inclusive, and innovative moving forward. The consultation will run until 8 January 2025 and residents can review the document and have their say by completing a short survey here:

Cllr Simon Martin, Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council said: “The way the Council communicates and engages with residents and local businesses is of paramount importance. We are fully committed to delivering high quality, customer-focused services that deliver value for money but, in order to receive representative feedback and opinions, we need to reach more people. I encourage residents to take the time to complete the survey and ensure that we are on the right track with our proposed approach moving forward.”
