999 Day to celebrate emergency services heroes

Fareham Borough Council is delighted to announce that 999 Day will be returning once again this year.

Sponsored by SA Energy Ltd, 999 Day will take place in the pedestrianised area of West Street from 10am until 4pm on Saturday 22 June 2024. This free event will give visitors the opportunity to meet local emergency service personnel and see their vehicles up close. Exhibitors include the Police, Fire Service, South Central Ambulance Service, RNLI, Hampshire Search and Rescue, Coastguard and much more.

There will be something for all the family, including retired emergency vehicles on display. Fareham Library will be hosting free 999 day themed crafts throughout the day, and visitors can also enjoy live music at the podium.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Connie Hockley, said:

“999 Day is always popular and I am delighted that it is returning once again this year. Families will love this fun and free event, so come along and meet the emergency services heroes to find out about the fantastic work they do to keep us all safe.”

For more information about this event please go to www.fareham.gov.uk/999.

If you would like to exhibit, please contact the Leisure and Community Team 01329 236100 or email leisure@fareham.gov.uk. We are keen to hear from anyone with old emergency service vehicles that are 50 years old, or from anyone with a suitable display or exhibit that may be of interest from 1974 or around that period.
