Summer colouring competition 2023

Winners in colouring competition announced

Fareham Borough Council is delighted to announce the winners in its Summer Colouring Competition, which ran from 21 June to 6 October.

Over 50 entries were received in the competition for under 11s, with children picking up entry forms from Fareham’s summer events as well as from the Civic Offices reception. After the competition closed, the Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Fred Birkett, selected the lucky winners.

Winning first place was Quinton Fok, who will have the honour of joining the Mayor and Father Christmas to switch on Fareham’s new Christmas Lights at the Christmas Lights Switch-on event in West Street on 18 November. Quinton also wins a Christmas goody bag. The runners up are as follows:

Second place: Eden Goss wins four free bowling vouchers, courtesy of Bowl Central Fareham
Third place: Diana Galu wins a free pass to ‘Top Rock’ climbing at Fareham Leisure Centre, courtesy of Everyone Active
Fourth place: Summer Tidbury wins a free family swim voucher at Fareham or Holly Hill leisure centres, courtesy of Everyone Active
Fifth place: Connie Hayes wins a free pass to the soft play at Fareham Leisure Centre, courtesy of Everyone Active

Executive Member for Leisure and Community at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Sue Walker, said:

“It was wonderful to see the high standard of entries to the competition from our younger members of the community. Well done to Quinton Fok, who will be the first child ever to help with switching on the Christmas lights, and many congratulations to the runners up!”
