Summer Colouring Competition launched!

Fareham Borough Council has once again launched its summer colouring competition for youngsters.

The competition is for under 11’s and will run until 6 October. The lucky winners will be selected by the Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Fred Birkett, and there are some fabulous prizes on offer:

First prize winner will have the honour of switching on the Christmas lights with the Mayor and Father Christmas himself on Saturday 18 November, and a Christmas goody bag
Second prize winner will receive four free bowling vouchers, courtesy of Bowl Central Fareham
Third prize winner will get a free pass to ‘Top Rock’ climbing at Fareham Leisure Centre, courtesy of Everyone Active
Fourth prize winner will receive a free family swim voucher at Fareham or Holly Hill leisure centres, courtesy of Everyone Active
Fifth prize winner will get a free pass to the soft play at Fareham Leisure Centre, courtesy of Everyone Active.

Colouring sheets will be available at all the upcoming Council summer events, including:

999 Day on 24 June
Thumbs Up Thursday, every Thursday during August
Play Day on 9 August
Bygone on 9 September
Community First Wessex’s Community Showcase on 30 September

You can also pick up hard copies from the reception team at the Civic Offices in Fareham or download from the Council’s website at www.fareham.gov.uk/events

To enter, simply take a photo of your child’s entry and email it along with their name and age to leisure@fareham.gov.uk. We will be in touch with the winners to provide their prizes later in the year and will also announce them on social media after the competition closes.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Mrs Sue Walker, said: “I know this competition is something that lots of youngsters look forward to and this year we have really got some amazing prizes on offer! I would like to thank one of our officers, Paul Hutchinson, for designing the colouring sheet for us and I encourage families to get involved and enter for their chance to win.”
