Press Release

25 March 2022

Meet emergency services heroes at the Fareham 999 Day

Come along to Fareham Borough Council’s 999 Day on 25 June and meet your real-life emergency services heroes.

Taking place in the pedestrianised area of West Street Fareham, from 10am-4pm, this fun-filled day will offer something for all the family. The event is FREE of charge with lots of things to see and do for children including face-painting. There will also be a selection of both current and vintage emergency service vehicles as well as both American and British police cars on display.

This event has not taken place since 2019 due to the pandemic so the Council is working hard to ensure that this year’s event is better than ever.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Sue Walker, said: “This is a fantastic free event, so I am delighted that it is coming back for 2022. It is a great way to celebrate and thank our wonderful emergency services for the incredible work they do, particularly in recent times. The event will be a fun day out for all the family and give children the opportunity to meet some true heroes.”

For more information about this event please go to www.fareham.gov.uk/999.

If you own an emergency vehicle or are part of an emergency service team and would like to have a stand at the event, please contact the Leisure and Community Team on 01329 236100 or email leisure@fareham.gov.uk.
