Coronavirus: Council events postponed

A number of Fareham Borough Council events have been postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The following cancellations are as follows:

All summer Community Action Team (CAT) meetings and a Youth Community Action Team Meeting (Y-CAT)
All Mayoral events
Fareham in Bloom events and activities
VE Day bench commemoration
VE Day activities at Solent Airport
999 Day
Willow Weave workshop
Access All Areas. Although this is due to be held later in the summer it will require a great deal of planning over the coming weeks when resources are now stretched.

These events will be rescheduled at a later date where possible.

Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Seán Woodward, said: “It is disappointing that we have had to take this action to postpone our events, however the safety of our residents and visitors to the Borough is a top priority at this difficult time and we must follow Government advice and socially distance ourselves wherever possible.”
