A blooming success!

Fareham has celebrated another year of success at last week's South and South East in Bloom awards.

The Borough received its 16th consecutive winning entry in the Small City category receiving a Gold Award and was again declared Category Winner.

Fareham's parks and gardens also came out with top awards including:

Coldeast Conservation area: Silver Gilt
Warsash Common: Gold
Holly Hill Woodland Park: Gold
Sensory Garden of Reflection: Gold and category winner
Westbury Manor Garden: Gold
Civic Gardens: Gold
Portchester Common: Gold and category winner.

Other awards were given to the following:

Portchester Crematorium: Gold
Northern Junior School: Gold and Hampshire Winner
Titchfield Village in Bloom: Gold and Hampshire winner.

Britain in Bloom 'It's Your Neighbourhood Awards' were presented to:

Burnham Wood: Level 4 – Thriving
Red Barn Allotments: Level 4 – Thriving. This was a new entry for 2019
Winton Way Horticultural Site: Level 4 – Thriving. This was a new entry for 2019.

Executive Member for Streetscene at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Simon Martin, said: “Congratulations once again to all of those who work so hard to keep the Borough looking beautiful. The continued success at the South and South East in Bloom awards demonstrates horticultural excellence and community engagement at its best. Well done to all!”
