The local government services in the borough are split between Fareham Borough Council and Hampshire County Council.
Fareham Borough Council is responsible for delivering local projects and essential services such as leisure, housing, planning, benefits and refuse, recycling and garden waste collection throughout the Borough.
Hampshire County Council is responsible for delivering social care, education, and public health, as well as County-wide services such as road maintenance, street lighting, on-street parking, Blue Badges and Concessionary Travel. As a Fareham resident you will need to register to vote in the next elections. Please visit the gov.uk website to register or to change your address for voting. If you need assistance, the Elections team can be contacted on 01329 824588. You can also email elections@fareham.gov.uk
You can find out what ward you live in and who your local councillor is by entering your postcode on this page: fareham.gov.uk/findmylocal/.
You will need to setup a Council Tax account. This can be done by completing an online form. If you need assitance, the Council Tax Team can be contacted on 01329 824651. You can also email counciltax@fareham.gov.uk
Once your account is set up, you can register for 'My Account' to manage your council tax online from the Council's website. You can view the registration page here.
