Process for Considering Community Funding Applications

All Community Funding requests are first assessed on whether they meet certain key priorities; that they are from a not-for-profit organisation or from an individual on behalf of a community, that they will benefit lots of Fareham residents, that they will be able to keep running once the Community Funding award is spent, and that any organisation applying is unable to fund the project from their own reserves. These are called the 'base criteria'.

Stage 1

Approach the Leisure and Community Team or your local Councillor for Community Funding

Stage 2a - If my project meets the base criteria

A Leisure and Community Team officer liaises with you for full details of your project within two weeks

Stage 2b - If my project doesn't meet the base criteria

You will be informed and advised of possible alternative funding streams and support, where applicable

Stage 3

The views of your local Ward Councillor are requested

If my project is under £5,000

The Executive Member for Leisure and Community is approached for support

If support is indicated

An Individual Decision Date is arranged and you are informed of timeframes

If support is not indicated

You are informed and advised of possible alternative funding streams or support, where available

If my project is between £5,000 and £15,000
