£17,500 was made available to groups/community organisations to be used to directly benefit the residents of North West Fareham. Over 500 people turned out for a great day in the sun at the Fareham Park Fun Day in July, with more than 300 local people voting for their favourite projects, aimed at improving the Fareham Park area.

One of the projects voted for at the Fun Day was the South Coast CKD. They received £2,500 to go towards an after school project that helped teach primary school children stranger danger, self-defence and self-discipline through martial arts workshops.
