Car Parking in Fareham town centre

Please be aware that planned maintenance works to improve the drainage at Lysses car park are in progress.

This means that 12 bays on level 1 and 12 bays on level 2 will not be not accessible. The works will move along the line of bays as works progress and this is likely to take a number of weeks to be fully complete.

Apologies for the inconvenience, but these actions will greatly improve the drainage and safety of the car park.

Premium/Inner car parks

These are best suited to you if you are making relatively quick visits to the town. There are disabled bays located in these car parks, the pay and display car parks are free to disabled drivers provided you correctly display your valid blue badge. There is a normal parking charge for disabled drivers who park in the barrier controlled cark parks. Fareham residents park free if they have an approved application for access to the pay on foot car parks. Motorcycles may park free of charge in car parks with motorcycle only bays.

Charges apply Monday - Saturday 8am to 6pm and Sundays and Bank Holidays 10.30am to 4pm. No charge on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday.

Electric vehicle charging points

Please note that there are charge points for electric vehicles in the Civic Way Car Park with three different types of connection and are able to charge a range of models including;  BMW, VW, Audi, Ford, General Motors, Porsche, Nissan, Citroen, Mistubishi, Peugeot, Renault and Kangoo. Find locations of charge points in Fareham here External Hyperlink.

A network of electric vehicle charge points have now been successfully commissioned across Hampshire with Hampshire County Council working in collaboration with Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE). Paying on foot

In one of our town centre Premium/Inner car parks, we have introduced a fairer payment system so that you no longer need to estimate how long you think you will park for. The 'pay on foot' system is in Market Quay surface car park. It works in this way:

Lost tickets will be charged at the hourly daily rate during charging hours. After 6.30pm Monday to Saturday and 4.00pm Sunday and Bank Holidays, press the information button for assistance. At the barrier and pay stations there is a voice link to the control room in case you need any help.

Pay and display

The rest of our town centre car parks still operate a pay and display system which means you should buy a ticket to cover the time of your stay. It works in this way:
