The scheme is available for holders of a current Taxi Licence issued by Fareham Borough Council, who live or operate in the Borough, who have not received any assistance under the Local Restrictions Grants Schemes or other Additional Restrictions Grants Schemes.

The aim of ARG-T4 P1 is to provide support to events and travel businesses in the Borough of Fareham, who have been most effected by the 4-week extension to stage 4 of the Government roadmap that occurred from 21st June 2021 to 19th July 2021.
This scheme is available to businesses who were eligble for assistance under the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed) scheme.

The Government put in place a number of mandatory grants and discretionary grant schemes to assist business with the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) between the November lockdown and the end of March 2021. These schemes had closed by 31 March 2021.
The Government provided grant funding for businesses who were forced to close when the Borough was in Tier 2, Tier 4 or National Lockdown restrictions.
Eligible businesses were ratepayers who had been open and trading in the premises on the day before the restrictions began.
The grant values were as follows:
The Government provided grant funding for businesses who have been forced to close when the Borough was in Tier 2, Tier 4 or National Lockdown restrictions.
Where a business has been forced to close under these restrictions, Fareham Borough Council offered the following Business Grants:
On 5 January 2021, the Government announced one-off additional grants for certain types of businesses meeting the criteria of the LRSG-C scheme who were still partially trading, for example, by adapting to takeaway, click and collect or online trading are still eligible. The grant was a one-off payment of £4,000, £6,000 or £9,000, based on the rateable value of the property.
The Christmas Support Payment for wet-led pubs (CSP) supported pubs in Tier 2 and Tier 3 areas that derived less than 50% of their sales from food. The grant was a one-off flat-rate payment of £1,000 per wet-led pub.
The Government has also provided additional grant funding for businesses who had not been forced to close but were severely impacted when the Borough was subject to Tier 2 or Tier 3 restrictions. This was the Local Restrictions Grant (Open) Scheme which was a discretionary scheme. The grant was £467, £700 or £1,050 every two weeks, based on the rateable value of the property.
The scheme was open to businesses in the Borough in the hospitality, hotel, bed and breakfast and leisure sectors. Businesses which are in the supply chain and whose primary customers are in the same sectors, were also eligible for these grants.
Restart Grant for Business Rates payers who offered in-person services and whose main business on 1 April 2021 was non-essential retail. The grant was a one off payment of £2,667, £4,000 or £6,000 (based on the rateable value of the property).
Restart Grant for Business Rates payers who offered in-person services and whose main business on 1 April 2021 was hospitality (food and drink), Leisure, Accommodation, Personal Care, Gyms and Sport. The grant was a one off payment of £8,000, £12,000 or £18,000 (based on the rateable value of the property).
The Additional Restrictions Grant Schemes provide support to businesses (including charities, non -profit organisations, community interest companies or similar organisations) who have not been forced to close but have suffered losses of at least 15% during the relevant periods of restrictions. Two of these schemes have now closed:
This was for businesses with a minimum turnover of £10,000, who suffered a financial loss of at least 15% during the November 2020 National Lockdown and who were not eligible for a Local Restrictions Support Grant. The grant was a one-off payment of £1,334, £2,000 or £3,000 depending on nature of the business's premises and a top up of £2,500 for businesses operating from domestic premises and who did not receive assistance under the previous discretionary scheme.
For businesses who would have been eligible for either ARG-T1 or ARG-T2P1 or ARG-T2P2 but missed the application deadline of 28/02/2021. Total value of ARG T1 and T2P2 grants below was £5,334 and £12,000 plus £2,500 top up.
For businesses who received at least one of ARG-T1, ARG-T2P1, ARG-T2P2 or ARG-T3P1, and who had ongoing commercial property related overheads, but were not eligible for either of the Restart Grants.
Businesses operating from domestic properties were excluded from this scheme with the exception of B&Bs and Holiday Lets. The grant was £2,800, £4,100 or £6,200 depending on the nature of the business's premises.
For Business Rates payers who did not receive the Local Authority Discretionary Grant earlier in the year, nor the Small Business Grants or Retail, Hospitality or Leisure Grants. The grant was a top up of £2,500 to old and new applicants who were business rates payers.
This was for businesses with a minimum turnover of £10,000, who suffered a financial loss of at least 15% during the December 2020 Tier 4 restriction and January 2021 National Lockdown, and who were not eligible for a Local Restrictions Support Grant. The grant was a one-off payment of £4,000, £6,000 or £9,000 depending on the nature of the business's premises and a top up of £2,500 for businesses who were not rate payers but operate from commercial premises and who did not receive assistance under the previous discretionary scheme.
For businesses with a minimum turnover of £10,000, who suffered a financial loss of at least 15% during the January/February 2021 National Lockdown and who were not eligible for a Local Restrictions Support Grant.
The grant was a one-off payment of £5,334, £8,000 or £12,000 depending on the nature of the business's premises.
There was a top up of £2,500 for businesses operating from domestic premises or who were not rate payers but operated from commercial premises and who did not receive assistance under the previous discretionary scheme.
This was for regular businesses who actively traded at the Fareham or Portchester Markets. The grant was £1,277 or £2,554 (based on trading at either or both markets).
This was for businesses who regularly traded at the Fareham Market. The grant was decided after a tender exercise.
This was for businesses who actively traded at the Fareham or Portchester Markets. The grant varied depending on the frequency and cost of hiring the market stall between 14/12/20 to 31/03/21.

This was a grant of £10,000 payable to properties with a Rateable Value of up to and including £15,000.
Eligible properties included in this scheme were those which, on the 11 March 2020, were eligible for relief under the Business Rate Small Business Rate Relief Scheme (SBRR) (including those with a Rateable Value between £12,000 and £15,000 which receive tapered relief).
Properties that were not eligible for percentage SBRR relief (including those eligible for the Small Business Rate Multiplier only) were excluded.
This was a grant of £10,000 payable to properties with a Rateable Value of up to and including £15,000.
For properties which have a Rateable Value of over £15,000 and less than £51,000, this was a grant of £25,000.
Eligible properties included in this scheme were those which, on the 11 March 2020, had a Rateable Value of less than £51,000 and would have been eligible for a discount under the Business Rates Expanded Retail Discount Scheme, had that scheme been in force at that date (occupied Retail, Leisure and Hospitality properties, including recently added betting shops, pawn brokers, estate agents, letting agents, employment agencies, casinos and gambling clubs).
Properties occupied for personal use (e.g. private stables and loose boxes, beach huts, properties used for hobbies and moorings) were excluded as were car parks and parking spaces.
The Local Authority Discretionary Grants Fund was announced by the UK government on 2nd May 2020. This was a discretionary scheme for the Borough which closed on 28 August 2020.
