With Fareham's increasing aging population, I am disappointed that there is not more definite or robust plans to provide warden controlled housing, rest homes and nursing homes within our town. The statements in the Plan do not provide an estimate of needs or targets to achieve for this provision. Cllr Woodward is always talking about how we need more houses for our aging population, but this only appears to be for the elderly whilst they can still manage in their own homes. What about when they need more care and need to move to somewhere with appropriate help? Where do they go then? There is no definite provision for this in the Plan.
