Fareham Innovation Centre

Fareham's £5.3M Innovation Centre opened in 2015 and offers office space and workshop facilities for new businesses, with a focus on the engineering, aerospace, aviation and marine industries.

The Centre was part of the large scale investment in the Daedalus-Solent Enterprise Zone, which included improvements to the runway and new business park infrastructure in 2014.

The Innovation Centre has close ties with Fareham College's Centre for Engineering and Manufacturing Advanced Skills Training  External Hyperlink(CEMAST) which is located in front of the Innovation Centre on Broom Way.

Fully occupied within a year of opening, an extension to Fareham Innovation Centre was added in 2018.  This now provides an additional 3400m2 of floor space, comprising 33 new offices and five workshops.  The extension also includes The Bridge, state of the art conference facilities for around 100 delegates.    Delegates can enjoy cutting edge technology with excellent sound and vision capabilities, and a spacious outdoor terrace featuring expansive views across the airfield.

CEMAST

All Automotive, Engineering and Manufacturing programmes run by Fareham College are delivered at the CEMAST campus.

As well as being home to full and part time students, the campus is the main learning centre for students in apprenticeship programmes with partner companies including BAE Systems, GE Aviation, Coopervision, Halfords and South Western Railway.

CETC

The Innovation and Education quarter at Daedalus is also home to the Civil Engineering Training Centre (CETC), known as the Digger School, which opened in September 2020.

CETC is an innovative collaboration between construction business and Fareham College and offers practical training in the form of a 20 week construction and groundwork apprenticeship course.
