Free business networking events for Fareham

Fareham Borough Council has announced that it will be introducing a series of free business networking events across the Borough from October 2023.

Following feedback from local businesses, there is a clear appetite for regular businesses networking in the local area, as many businesspeople are travelling outside of Fareham to attend these events.

Responding to this demand, Fareham Borough Council is launching a bi-monthly series of events where businesspeople can connect with others from both inside and outside the Borough as well as organisations that can provide business support.

A series of six networking events have been scheduled from 9.30am-11.30am, at locations across the Borough, to attract a wide range of businesses:

8 November 23 – JobCentre, West Street, Fareham
19 December 23 – The Cormorant Pub, Portchester
27 February 24 – The Bold Forester Pub, Sarisbury Green
30 April 24 - JobCentre, West Street, Fareham
25 June 24 - The Cormorant Pub, Portchester
27 August 24 - The Bold Forester Pub, Sarisbury Green

Cllr Seán Woodward, Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, said: “I am delighted that the Council has been able to respond to a clear business need within Fareham and I am confident that this series of events will be well attended. It is hoped that by scheduling events well in advance at convenient locations throughout the Borough, businesspeople will have plenty of opportunity to set aside time to attend, and I encourage them to do so.”

These events are supported by the Federation of Small Businesses, Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise South, the Department for Work and Pensions and the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership. Further details can be found at: www.fareham.gov.uk/business.
