Children and parents are being asked to vote online for their favourite new play equipment to be installed at Harbour View play area.
A range of exciting options are on offer for Harbour View play area and can be viewed at Fareham Borough Council's website at https://www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=153752555888
Existing junior climbing equipment will be replaced with residents being given a choice of two different units at the Portchester play area.
There's good news for toddlers with new play equipment to be added and residents can choose between a new play panel or a two or three-seat see-saw. Traditional games will be painted on the play area floor and other improvements proposed include putting new seats on swings and a new inclusive swing. Existing equipment will also be repainted and pressure washed clean to make the play area look sparkling new.
The upgrade is part of a five-year improvement plan being carried out by Fareham Borough Council at play areas in the Borough. To find out more have a look at: /leisure/out_and_about_in_fareham/play_areas/playareaimprovements.aspx
Executive Member of Leisure and Community, Cllr Sue Bell, said: "We're delighted to be upgrading our play areas and giving children new equipment to play on.
"Getting children outdoors is essential and it's important that we get their opinion on what they want to play with so please do let us know your views."
The consultation runs until Monday 12 November. Work on the play area will take place in 2019.
