Give Thursday The Thumbs Up

Thursday will be a day of fun in Fareham during the Summer Holidays with 'Thumbs Up Thursday' making a welcome return to the town.

A series of free activities including Lego building, arts and crafts, a petting farm and circus skills will take place every Thursday at the Performance Podium in West Street, Fareham.

'Thumbs Up Thursday' is organised by Fareham Borough Council for children and young people every Thursday from 26 July to 30 August between 10am and 1pm.

The events are part of a whole summer of activities organised by the Council for children in the holidays and are all listed in the guide 'My Amazing Summer,' which is available at libraries, schools and the Civic Offices. It can also be downloaded at www.fareham.gov.uk/summerguide.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Sue Bell, said: "Thursday will be a fun day in Fareham Town Centre during the summer holidays, with lots of new activities on offer.

"Everyone Active, who manage our two leisure centres will also be getting involved, running games and competitions every week."
