Make it a Summer to remember

Are you looking for ways to entertain your children during the Summer Holidays? Then look no further for 'My Amazing Summer' has all the information you need.

The guide is published by Fareham Borough Council and contains a range of events and activities at libraries, Westbury Manor Museum, Portchester Castle, Ashcroft Arts Centre and Holly Hill Play Area. The guide also has a pull-out calendar so you can plan your summer events.

A series of 'Play Rangers' sessions for children 0 – 12 years will run at venues across the Borough and 'Thumbs Up Thursday' is back with a different activity every week from Lego building, arts and crafts, to a petting farm and circus skills in West Street, Fareham.

At libraries, children can take part in the annual Summer Reading Challenge which has the theme of 'Mischief Makers' with Dennis the Menace and Gnasher, this year.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Sue Bell, said: 'We have so many exciting events in the Fareham Borough all laid on for children and their families. This guide is full of wonderful things to do so you can make it a summer to remember for all the family."

The guide will be available at libraries and schools and can be picked up from Civic Offices. It can also be downloaded at www.fareham.gov.uk/summerguide.
