02 June 2017

Still time to enter the Community Gardening Challenge

There's still time to enter Fareham in Bloom's Community Garden Challenge.

Free to enter, Fareham's Community Garden Challenge celebrates the horticultural talents of the Borough's residents across more than 20 award categories which include hanging baskets, allotments and community or school gardening projects.

Entries will be marked using a point system and can achieve gold, silver gilt, silver or bronze accreditation in line with the Royal Horticultural Society.

Executive Member for Streetscene, Councillor Tiffany Harper, said; "Each year this event brings together the community and showcases the exceptional talents of our residents. I cannot wait to see Fareham truly in bloom."

All participants will receive discounts and promotions at St Margaret's Nurseries in Titchfield and will be invited to a celebratory gala evening at Ferneham Hall.

Entries must be received by Friday 16 June and judging will take place from 3 – 14 July.
