Cllr Mrs Susan Bayford was appointed Deputy Mayor for the remainder of this municipal year at the Full Council Meeting held on Thursday 12 October. Cllr Mrs Bayford replaces former councillor Chris Wood who resigned with immediate effect on 25 September.
Cllr Mrs Bayford, who is the Ward Councillor for Locks Heath, was previously Mayor of Fareham for the municipal year 2013-2014.
Cllr Brian Bayford, Ward Councillor for Park Gate, will be the Deputy Mayor's Consort.
Cllr Mrs Bayford said: 'It is an honour to be Deputy Mayor for a second time and I very much look forward to helping the current Mayor of Fareham, Cllr Geoff Fazackerley, fulfil his long list of engagements.'
