The annual Christmas Lights Switch On event will be taking place in West Street, Fareham on Saturday 23rd November 2024 from 10am-7pm, with the lights being switched on at 5:30pm at the Performance Podium.
The final Council event of the year will have a golden theme to bring the Council's 50th anniversary to an end.
There will be an indoor Christmas market, free children's activities including circus skills, bubble wonderland, arts and craft and Christingle making, fun fair rides and games, festive food and drink, street and stage performers and more!
The Christmas market will be held inside Fareham Shopping Centre (in the old Clarks unit by Costa) and will be managed by Funyard Events. If you are interested in being a stallholder, please visit their website for more information - www.funyardevents.com

Fareham Bus Station is situated by Market Quay car park.
From Gosport: Use First Bus service E1, E2, X5, 9, 9A or 11
From Portsmouth: Use First Bus service 3 or X4
From Whiteley: Use First Bus service 28 or 28A
From Southampton: Use First Bus service X4 or X5
Fareham train station is a 10 minute walk to the event location.
Fareham Town Centre is surrounded by the National Cycle Network. Bike racks are available in the pedestrianised area, by Fareham Library and by Fareham Bus Station.
Fareham Town Centre has a number of car parks. Please see our parking in Fareham Town Centre webpage for more details.
Car sharing is encouraged to help us be more sustainable. It can also be more social and allows you to share the cost of car parking.
Please note the lifts in Fareham Shoppers Multistorey Car Park will close at 7:30pm
The Fareham Shopmobility service provides mobility scooters, electric and manual wheelchairs to people with limited mobility. Shopmobility is located inside Fareham Shopping Centre, opposite Millets.
Shopmobility will be open for the Christmas Lights Switch On event, but mobility aids must be booked in advance. For more information about using the Shopmobility service please visit their website .
