Voting open in Fareham in Bloom competition

Fareham Borough Council’s online Fareham in Bloom community gardening competition is now open for voting!

The competition opened for entries in April and, since then, residents, community groups and businesses from all over the Borough have been sending in photographs of their outdoor spaces. Residents can now vote for their favourites by 'liking' the images on our Facebook page or emailing us at inbloom@fareham.gov.uk. All of the entries can be viewed on our website at www.fareham.gov.uk/inbloom.

There are six categories to vote in, and residents can vote in as many categories as they wish before the voting period closes at midday on 31 July. On 11 August, the judging panel will visit the two entries in each category that received the highest number of votes and decide the winners. The exception to this is the Something Small category, where the photograph and description will be used to determine the winner instead.

Executive Member for Streetscene at Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Ian Bastable, said:

"It is clear from the entries that we have received that green-fingered members of Fareham’s community have put enormous effort in to creating outdoor spaces to be proud of, no matter the size. I encourage residents to look through all of the photos in each category and vote for their favourites."

The results will be announced in September. In October, the winners in each category, along with one guest, will be invited to a tea party with the Mayor of Fareham, where they will be presented with their certificate and their prize.
