Press Release

26 March 2021

Outdoor leisure facilities set to reopen

In line with the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown, a number of the Borough’s outdoor leisure facilities will reopen from Monday (29 March).

The Council’s tennis courts, multi-use games areas (MUGAs), outdoor gyms and skateparks will all be available to use for the first time since January.

Sports pavilions will also reopen and the Council’s pitches will be available to hire once again. This is in line with changes to the rules which allow outdoor organised sport to take place.  Users of these facilities will still be required to follow social distancing rules.

From 29 March, groups of up to six people or two households will be allowed to meet outside, including in private gardens.
