Press Release

21 September 2022

Fareham’s Big Bulb Giveaway!

Fareham Borough Council has teamed up with St Margaret’s Nursey in Titchfield once again this year to offer free spring bulbs for residents, businesses, schools and community groups in the Borough.

The ‘Narcissus’ daffodil bulbs will be given away to Fareham residents to plant in a location such as an open space, park or grounds where they will be seen by and enjoyed by the wider community.

The bulbs are available from today at St Margaret's Nursery in St Margaret’s Lane, Titchfield. One bag will be allocated per person or two bags per community group while stocks last.  Please remember that due to safety reasons bulbs should not be planted along any public highway. Proof of residency will be required when collecting the bulbs.

Executive Member for Streetscene, Councillor Ian Bastable, said: "This initiative is aways well received with residents, businesses and community groups. It is a great way to ensure that our Borough is bursting with vibrant colour and beauty in the early spring. I would like to thank St Margaret’s Nursery for making this scheme possible once again this year and to encourage residents to get their bulbs and get involved!"
