Residents invited to the Proclamation for King Charles III in Fareham

Following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Fareham residents are invited to join the Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Mike Ford and Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire Mrs Joan Ferrer for the reading of the Proclamation for the new Sovereign, King Charles III.

The Proclamation will be read from the Performance Podium, in the pedestrianised area of West Street, Fareham on Sunday 11 September at 2pm. 

The first official reading of the Proclamation will take place at St James’s Palace at 11am on Saturday 10 September.  It will then be read by the High Sheriff at Winchester Great Hall on Sunday 11 September at 1pm; one hour before it is read by Mayors of Districts and Boroughs across the country.

The Order of Service is as follows:
