Have your say on Fareham play area

Fareham Borough Council is making changes to the Blackbrook Park Play Area in Fareham West and would like to hear residents' views about how it could be improved.

Blackbrook Park play area is situated in Blackbrook Road, Fareham, and is one of the final four play areas to be improved as part of a five-year Council-run programme.  The work is expected to be completed by the Autumn 2022 and a public consultation has been launched to get residents’ views.

Not only will the current equipment and surfacing be refreshed where necessary, but additional items of equipment could be added to ensure that the play area is as inclusive and interactive as possible.

The consultation will close on Monday 14 March and you can have your say here: www.fareham.gov.uk/consultations

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Sue Walker, said:

“I would urge parents in the Fareham West area to have their say as part of this consultation. The Blackbrook Park play area is very popular with local children and allows them to get outside to stay fit and healthy and play with other children. We are asking for suggestions on how to ensure the area continues to deliver what local children need for the future.”
