Press Release

19 March 2021

HC Coils springs into Faraday Business Park

Heat Exchange Manufacturing company, HC Coils, is the latest business to take up residence at Faraday Business Park, Daedalus.

The company specialises in the design and manufacture of heat exchangers for a variety of commercial applications including food production, process cooling and air conditioning systems.

The move, into a purpose-built unit at the site, has allowed them to employ five new members of staff (bringing their total workforce to 72) and helped them to gain significant new contracts.

Mark Pamplin, Finance Director at HC Coils, said: “We’re delighted with our new premises. Faraday Business Park is an ideal location for a specialist manufacturer, and we have been able to set up everything exactly to our needs. This in turn means we are better able to meet our customers’ requirements and we’ve already expanded our client base as a result. The Council’s estates team made the process of moving into Faraday Business Park so easy and we were supported at every step of the way.”

Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Seán Woodward, said: "We are delighted to have HC Coils at Faraday Business Park. I’m sure they will thrive and it’s great to see their move has already created new highly skilled local jobs. The business park is a success story which will continue to grow.”

HC Coils join existing tenants at Faraday Business Park which include Proptech, UTP, Britton Norman, Transair, Bournemouth Avionics and Aerotech.

Further construction activity continues at pace at Faraday Business Park where Mildren Construction Ltd. are building a four more industrial units on behalf of Fareham Borough Council. These new units are due for completion this Autumn.

Notes to Editor:

Fareham Borough Council has invested over £30m at Daedalus in both the business parks and in Solent Airport, since it took ownership of the airfield site in 2015. The Council’s investment at Daedalus has ranged from new roads, bespoke industrial units, together with new hangars for business and general aviation use to support Solent Airport. Daedalus also offers flexible office and workshop space for start-up businesses within the newly extended Fareham Innovation Centre.
